Folderly Core

UX Writing
Folderly Core

About

I was the sole UX writer responsible for all the text found within the Folderly Core. I worked with a team of designers and product managers to bring the vision of the product to life and to ensure that the flow was as seamless as possible. Some of my responsibilities included writing technical documentation, writing copy for all notifications, welcome emails, error states, and more.

Project Results

By working as the sole UX writer for Belkins on the Folderly Core and Frostbite projects, I was able to shape the product to be more intuitive and relatable to our target audience. Before I joined, the copy didn’t flow and caused a lot of friction at many points throughout the product. I was able to transform the product into one that speaks the user’s language and is able to reduce the number of tickets sent to our customer success team. By focusing on the goal, I was able to make the user’s journey much smoother and their experience one likely to reduce churn overall.

Additionally, I created technical documentation for Folderly Core, which was necessary to ensure new users and stakeholders will be able to navigate and understand the product as quickly and simply as possible.

I was also able to ensure that the copy within the product was consistent by creating a UX style guide that includes:

  • The brands voice and tone
  • Writing guidelines
  • A word list
  • Grammar and language guidelines
  • Accessibility guidelines
  • A quick checklist
  • A list of spam triggers
